Kalopool Complete Home Renovation

This complete home renovation project was carried out for Mr. Jigyash Ghimire at Kalopool, Kathmandu. Built approximately 30 years ago, the house had become outdated in both appearance and functionality. Due to its age and existing condition, there was considerable discussion about whether the property should be demolished and rebuilt or renovated.
Following a detailed home inspection and technical assessment by the Swastha Ghar team, a comprehensive renovation plan was developed to upgrade the house while preserving its existing structure. One of the most challenging aspects of this project was strengthening selected structural elements while carrying out a complete transformation of the home's appearance. The existing traditional sloped-roof design was redesigned and renovated into a modern architectural style, giving the property an entirely new identity.
The renovation also included waterproofing and seepage control works, replacement of plumbing and electrical systems, bathroom and kitchen renovation, false ceiling installation, living room decoration, painting works, metal fabrication works, and various repair and improvement activities throughout the property.
Through careful planning, engineering expertise, and quality workmanship, the old house was successfully transformed into a modern, safe, and functional living space without the need for demolition. The project is a great example of how an aging property can be revitalized through renovation, significantly improving its appearance, comfort, structural reliability, and long-term value.
